No Skin is Quite Like Any Other
Nobody can shed their skin. It is nature given, and each of us has his or her own individual skin type. It is exposed to many physiological changes, external influences and types of stress during the course of a lifetime.
Skin has its own natural life cycle.
It builds up and breaks down, regardless of our cultural background or skin colour.
Hereditary factors determine whether we have healthy skin or dry skin, oily skin or especially sensitive or susceptible skin.
The main danger currently facing our skin is pollution.
We need not just accept this as given. We can intervene in nature’s processes to prevent harm, support our skins recuperative power and reverse harmful influences.
There is the skin of a new-born baby, which is unprotected and still has to develop. There is the skin of the adolescent with the problem of acne. The skin of the normal adult that is subjected to all types of day-to-day stress. And finally, there is the skin of elderly people, which wrinkles as it becomes increasingly dry and loses it elasticity and suppleness.
